For this year's Spitfire Audio movie scoring competition, we got a dope Stargirl TV Series scene from the kind folks at DC to put music to. This one was a blast!
Along with cinematic textures and strings, I wanted to do something a little outside the box, so I decided to record guitars for the "robot hero sequence". Maybe I was listening to Queen's 'FLASH' movie score a little too much, or I was just in a guitar mood while recording a heavy metal music project I've also been working on. Whatever it was, I really wanted to add some get-up-and-go during the action sequence.
Another aspect of this score I particularly liked was how the "chatter strings" add some extra trepidation to the "pick-up truck entrance" towards the end. The rest of the music score consists of strings, horns (for the villain reveal), cinematic pads, and orchestral drums.
