My heavy industrial band Brain Matter just released our first EP, Someone To Devour through The Charon Collective record label (pick up a physical copy here). This was a fun project that my brother Kristeffor and I started writing back in December of last year. We hit the studio in April of this year and recorded the album through August. For fans of Circle of Dust, NIN, Static-X, Pantera, older Tool and Godflesh. Check out the official visualizer for "Someone To Devour" below the press release!
From The Press Release:
From the minds of brothers Seth Metoyer and Kristeffor Olson (the team that already brings you grindcore outfit Mangled Carpenter), the blistering machine-metal of Brain Matter is the industrial thrashing you’ve been waiting for. Citing influences ranging from Godflesh to older Tool to Static-X and Circle of Dust, their 8-song debut “Someone To Devour” is a rapid-fire assault on the senses. They treat us to a unique sound that entangles the best elements of electro, death, thrash, and even shadows of nu-metal. Your ears will be twinging delightfully as you move to the dance floor - whether it be to slam or groove.
The exclusive Bandcamp version of Brain Matter’s “Someone To Devour” includes an 8x10 digital poster containing the lyrics to the songs. You can print it out and hang it on your wall or fold it up and add it to your physical copy. The bonus NFT comes with both the purchase of a CD or the digital version.
