'Ouija Shark' movie review

By Seth Metoyer, MoreHorror.com, This summer, you're "gonna need a bigger board", and don't forget to bring your sense of humor while you're at it. If the summer of 2020 needs anything, it's a bit of fun and the low-budget-horror-comedy-shark-movie, Ouija Shark is just what the quarantine doctor ordered. I am a sucker for all cheesy over the top shark-infested films. These no-budget horror films are always fun to throw on in the background while working in the office.

Too many people seem to take these films seriously or complain about how awful they are or how much time they wasted. Ironic, coming from a generation of time wasters. But then again, these movies aren't for everybody. If you no likey, go take a selfie or make a TikTok video.

Now available on DVD and VOD through of Wild Eye Releasing and from the brains of David A. Lloyd and John Migliore, Ouija Shark follows a group of teenage girls who come across a piece of driftwood in the water that is, you guessed it, an Ouija Board. The ladies of course proceed to use the board near their suburban swimming pool and succeed at summoning the ghost of an evil shark.

One thing I genuinely enjoyed about this was the "ghost visuals" of the Shark. It had me cackling a few times.

Scott Patrick directed the film and was also the cinematographer and editor. Ouija Shark stars Steph Goodwin, Zoe Towne, Robin Hodge, Christina Roman, Amy Osborne, John Migliore and Peter Whittaker.

Throw OUIJA SHARK on in the background while you're flipping through your social media feeds or put it on when you have a few friends over and don't tell them what they're watching. That might even make a fun TikTok video.

Official Synopsis:

A group of teenage girls summon an ancient man-eating shark after messing with a spirit board that washes up on the beach. An occult specialist must enter the shark's realm to rid this world of the deadly spirit ghost once and for all.
