This is the song Recovery by Brain Matter that we mixed and mastered during the summer of 2019. We uploaded this example to show what we can do with music recorded in a very low budget studio. Listen to it free on

The band recorded the song on the equipment they had, which was basically a free version of Studio One from PreSonus and a ASUS X541N Laptop.

The vocals were recorded on a relatively inexpensive Audio Technica Digital Reference VX2 Microphone and the vocal FX were run through a now defunct DigiTech VX400 Vocal Processor.

At Affordable Audio Mixing and Mastering, we took the layered audio files and mixed most of it right in Studio One since the original files were made in that program. Not a bad DAW at all considering it's free! We then utilized some of our customized mastering plug-ins in ProTools to get that airy sonic punch that sounds great through whatever speakers you are listening to.

If you like what you hear and are tired of flat, muddy mixes, contact us today and we'll get the ball rolling on your mix and or master!
